How we use cookies
A cookie is a small file which is placed on your computer's hard drive, if you allow your web browser to accept cookies.
Cookies store information between web page requests and allow web applications to respond to you as an individual.
The main ones we use are: To store a token that maintains a users login state, to hold the users present display resolution and to hold a session token which allows the Vodis site software to provide interaction between teh different pages you visit or use.
Cookies can also be used to help analyse web traffic or let you know when you visit a particular site. The web application can tailor its operations to your needs, likes and dislikes by gathering and remembering information about your preferences.
We may use traffic log cookies such as from Google Analytics to identify which pages are being used. This helps us analyse data about webpage traffic and improve our website in order to tailor it to customer needs. We only use this information for statistical analysis purposes and then the data is removed from the system.
Overall, cookies help us provide you with a better website by enabling us to monitor which pages you find useful and which you do not. A cookie in no way gives us access to your computer or any information about you, other than the data you choose to share with us.
You can choose to accept or decline cookies. Most web browsers automatically accept cookies, but you can usually modify your browser setting to decline cookies if you prefer. This may prevent you creating an account on or logging in to any web site.

Personal information

You may request details of personal information which we hold about you under the Data Protection Act 1998. A small fee will be payable. If you would like a copy of the information held on you please write to us at the address given on our Contact Us page
If you believe that any information we are holding on you is incorrect or incomplete, please write to or email us as soon as possible at the above address. We will promptly correct any information found to be incorrect.
Personal information entered by others
When the Vodis is used in a multi-user business or corporate environment, data entered in to the Vodis system is controlled by the Vodis administrators and users within that organisation and not by JRW.
The information needed for the system to operate is such as peoples names, email and phone numbers to allow identification and contact from other Vodis users within the organisation. Addresses and some other minimal info may be entered as an option.
This form of "accounting" or "address book" information for use strictly within an organisation does not require Data Protection registration within the UK.
Users in other countries should verify they are operating within their own legal requirements.
